Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between you and KnownCS LLC (“Known CS,” “we,” or “us”), a Florida company. They apply to knowncs.com and the Equity Empires mobile app. By using these experiences, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you and permit your use. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information associated with the website and app.
Known CS services
Known CS presents product strategy, AI, engineering, and related consulting work on the website. The site is informational; sending a project brief or email starts a conversation, not a client relationship or a commitment to perform work. Any consulting engagement, fee, deliverable, confidentiality obligation, or other professional term must be set out in a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms for the engagement, the separate agreement controls.
Website examples, opinions, and descriptions are general information and are not a promise of a particular business, technical, or financial outcome.
Equity Empires
Equity Empires is an independent companion for a physical property board game. It helps a group track fictional property shares, prices, rent, dividends, and game history on one device. You still need your own physical game and must handle its board, pieces, dice, cards, and cash yourself. Equity Empires is not affiliated with or endorsed by any tabletop game publisher.
App shares, balances, prices, and currency exist only for gameplay. They are not real investments, financial accounts, money, wagers, or prizes; they cannot be bought, sold, or redeemed for real-world value through the app. The app provides no investment or financial advice. Review a transaction preview before confirming it, and reconcile any physical cash exchanged at the table separately.
App stores and purchases
When the app is available, the applicable store page will show its supported devices, availability, and price. Purchases and refunds through Apple's App Store or Google Play are handled under the relevant store's terms and applicable law. Known CS does not process app-store payments on this website. The app currently has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Your license to download and use the app is also subject to the license terms presented by the store. For Apple downloads, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a custom license is presented through the App Store. These Terms do not override a required store license or rights you cannot waive under law.
Your content and saves
You may enter player names, property names, house rules, and images for custom markers. You retain whatever rights you have in that content and must have permission to use any image or other material you add. Do not add unlawful or infringing material.
Game saves and customizations are stored on the device where they were made. The app has no account, cloud sync, or remote backup from which we can restore them. Replacing a save slot, deleting local app data, or deleting the app can permanently remove that progress. Please keep the app and its data on the device if you need a saved session. Acceptable use and ownership
Use the website and app lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with their operation or other people's use. Do not attempt to bypass security, introduce harmful code, impersonate another person in a message to us, or copy or redistribute the app or website content beyond what the store license or law permits.
Known CS and its licensors retain their rights in the website, app, software, design, text, marks, and other materials we provide. Your use does not transfer ownership of those materials. You may use the app for personal tabletop play, subject to the applicable store license and these Terms.
Availability and other services
Equity Empires is in development and its store availability, device support, and features may change. We may update, correct, or stop offering the website or app, subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement. We do not promise uninterrupted access or a particular release date.
Links to app stores or other third-party sites are provided for convenience. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, we provide the website and app “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular game, device, or purpose. The app is a game aid, and players remain responsible for the physical game and their choices at the table. This paragraph does not change any express promise in a separate consulting agreement or any consumer warranty that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Known CS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or app, including lost local game data or gameplay disputes. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or another responsibility that law does not allow us to exclude.
Governing law
Florida law governs these Terms, without its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law where you live gives you protections that cannot be waived. An applicable app-store license or separate consulting agreement may specify different terms for its subject.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the website or app changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above, and provide additional notice when required by law. Changes apply going forward; your continued use after they take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
